Dear Member,

As you are aware, IRDA has appointed an Expert Committee to look into existing regulatory architecture for ‘Bancassurance’ intermediation model, aimed at allowing Banks to sell Insurance products of more than one Insurance Company. The Consumers would suffer severely if Banks are allowed multiple tie-ups as there would be a lot of mis-selling of products, so also the interest of Broking Community which garners sizable quantum of business.

In this context IBAI had recently organised a PRESS Conference for the members of the Print Media on July 03, 2009 at Mumbai and you would have seen the reportage in the News Papers.
